Come Play!

Sandovici Art Gallery invites you and your friends to come play with art supplies! Whether you’re looking for an actual art class, or just to relax, have fun, and explore, our playdates are the perfect way to enjoy the simple yet rewarding pleasure of applying different types of paint to different types of surfaces! There is no pressure, no judgment, no goal to achieve besides having fun!

All art supplies will be provided, as well as adult beverages (or soft drinks), snacks, and gentle guidance by two creativity experts:

Elena Sandovici, Ph.D., has almost 20 years of teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate level. Part of her expertise includes workshops on creativity, which helped countless students conquer writers’ block and find inspiration for dificult projects. She is also an expert in watercolor painting and has been creating an original piece of art each and every day for over six years now. Most importantly, she is not a serious person, and she wants you to leave all worries behind and have a good time!

Holly Golightly is a dog. She has never done anything serious in her life. Her talents include sleeping 20 hours a day, chasing foxes in her dreams, and digging very deep tunnels under her human’s house. She is the author of a volume of poetry entitled Stop and Smell the Garbage. She will greet you enthusiastically upon arrival, then curl up and sleep during your painting lesson, a useful reminder to relax and enjoy.

Painting Classes aka Play Dates must be scheduled in advance through the gallery. Please email or call 570-807-6411 to make arrangements.

The cost of a Painting Class ticket is $50 per person (includes art supplies, snacks, and beverages). Discounts are available for groups!

Painting Classes for children can also be arranged. They include child-appropriate snacks (pre-approved by their parents)!
